Comadreja Letal
Comadreja Letal is a fun short story to present myself to the Fanzimad community. I drew it at 1 am the day before, just because it seemed fun and it was something cool to do. The story does not run much deeper than some late night paranoia and a first introduction of my persona to the fanzine community in Madrid. This comic was in Spanish and talked about how I could draw feet but I couldn't draw cats, and randomly decided to put the word "almonds" and finish the last panel in blank saying I was tired. Made me realize how fun it is to have creative freedom. And how enjoyable it is to launch something you want without the pressure of being finished or perfect to others standards. In the end it had great feedback for the artist from the festival. I made some of them laugh and that's enough for me. I sometimes wonder if I should appeal more to my target audience, but then I realize I draw what I want and whoever likes it is my target audience. If I like drawing in English, so I will keep doing. If I post on Instagram fun doodles that are, without a doubt ugly, I will post them. Because it helps to see I am human not a machine. The quality is questionable, because its fast food.
I do not pretend to be an artist. I am a human, and humans have a desire to to create and show it. That's all I do. And I want everyone to see it.
Comadreja letal shits on the principle that for something to be good it needs to be deep and complex. It is not meant to tell you a story, it just abduces you and makes you laugh. It is not for everyone, but again, even the best cup of none sense would taste rotten to someone craving logic, and that's okay.
I just thought it was fun, and I did it.
